SANDY68
68KM ULTRA
This unique and beautiful 68km route of non-stop sand, rocks and clifftop boardwalks through 24 astonishing beaches is the ultimate coastal trail running challenge! The concept was originally conceived by Matt Angus and Co., and hosted as an event by Ben Hockings for a few years, before seeing some slight tweaks to become the Sandy68 - established as a ‘Fastest Known Time’ by Simon Duke and Dan Camac in 2021 (now held by Rhys Whiting who won the event in 2022 & ‘23). With a new view around every headland and a course surface (the sand and rocks) subject to the influences of weather in a way few courses are, this 68km ultra offers something unique in ultra trail running in Australia.
